From reading the 2011 Social Media Marketing Industry Report:

I resonate with other social media marketers who want to know how to …  “ measure the return on investment (ROI) of social media”

Other points of interest:

“Video marketing on the rise: A significant 77% of marketers plan on increasing their use of YouTube and video marketing, making it the top area marketers will invest in for 2011.”




Of interest to me regarding the list of Commonly used social media tools, is that Twitter features much closer to Facebook, than I would have expected.  I’m a great fan of Twitter but find web traffic statistics show that Facebook has a significantly greater value than Twitter for driving web traffic.  But as the Benefits of Social Media Marketing graph showed, it’s not all about measuring web traffic.

4% of the 3342 participants surveyed identified as Australians.
